Trilateral Transfer Projects

The Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation) and the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft (Fraunhofer) are jointly inviting proposals for trilateral transfer projects in all subject areas. The programme seeks to initiate transfer activities in which suitable and complementary partners from research and the relevant area of application work together to develop scientific findings geared towards application, thereby helping to bridge the gap between basic research and practical implementation.

In trilateral transfer projects, Fraunhofer Institutes act as research partners and as intermediaries between HEIs and application (e.g. industry), conducting applied preliminary research while also strengthening existing industry contacts and initiating new ones. The goal is to translate research findings into commercial applications.
