The DFG’s Key Figures Portal provides detailed overviews of the most important figures on the DFG’s funding activities and their development across nine categories, presented in numerous levels of detail. 

In 2025, the DFG funded around 30,100 ongoing projects with an annual funding volume of €3.8 billion. Over 18,000 reviewers from the respective research communities supported the review and decision-making processes, submitting approximately 23,700 written reviews.

These and many other facts and figures can be accessed under the individual categories and exported as graphics or data sets.
