Initiated by the DFG and conducted by infas Institut für angewandte Sozialwissenschaft(externer Link), the survey provides comprehensive insights into the experience and views of researchers who have submitted a proposal to the DFG. 

The results report (authors: Lennart Liebich, Merle Rohde and Michael Ruland) examines topics such as the conditions governing proposal submission and applicants’ motivations, review and decision-making processes, project implementation, the funding portfolio and the DFG’s responsibilities. It also provides an overview of sociodemographic characteristics such as educational and migration backgrounds and caring responsibilities.
