Research and development in oncology - the fight against cancer - is an international endeavor involving research in the life sciences and pharmaceutical science as well as technological advances in tools such as imaging techniques or the analysis of large amounts of data. German funding, research, and translational institutions joined together at the conference to show how this interaction works in Germany in the midst of the German government’s campaign “Decade Against Cancer.”  Read more(interner Link)

Together with Fraunhofer USA, the DAAD and the American Friends of the AvH, the DFG's North American office and the Science Section of the German Embassy went on the road in the southwestern U.S. to promote Germany as a research location and visit universities in Arizona, New Mexico and Nevada.
