Privacy Policy
As with all other measures funded by the DFG, those aimed at promoting diversity in science and the humanities must also be appropriately documented. In the event of a verification being carried out by the DFG, it is therefore essential that even particularly sensitive personal data is verifiably documented, e.g. general health data, information revealing ethnic origin, or details of a long-term or chronic illness or disability.
Such a verification may become necessary because the DFG itself is obliged to carry out random checks to verify the appropriate and efficient use of funds and to provide evidence of this to its own funding providers. In such cases, it must be verified whether the measure supported the intended purpose of the Standard Allowance for Equity and Diversity and fulfilled the overarching goal of promoting diversity in research.
The DFG is aware that this concerns particularly sensitive data. For this reason, such data is accessed exclusively by the DFG’s audit service and solely for verification purposes. The data is treated confidentially, it is not shared with other departments within the DFG or with third parties, and it is not stored beyond the conclusion of the verification.
