Positions in DFG-Funded Projects

The following scientific positions from DFG-funded projects are currently open:

PhD position / Promotionsstelle

Spatio-temporal analysis of human forebrain development on a single cell level, University of Freiburg

Starting on: 01.09.2023
Application deadline: 11.06.2023

31 doctoral researcher positions (f/m/d)

The newly founded CRC 1597 "Small Data" at the University of Freiburg, Germany, is inviting applications for 31 doctoral researcher positions. Our CRC is highly interdisciplinary, integrating data-driven and knowledge-driven modeling approaches from computer science, mathematics, and statistics/systems modeling, to create comprehensive solutions for tackling small data settings, primarily in biomedicine.

Starting on: 01.10.2023
Application deadline: 18.06.2023

PhD position / Promotionsstelle (f/m/d)

The PhD project will focus on identifying the dynamics of spatial organization of cell types as well as activity patterns of transcription factors and chromatin regulators associated with heart failure pathogenesis through integrative analysis of single cell transcriptomes, epigenomes and subcellular spatial transcriptomes. The PhD candidate will be a member of the MeInBio PhD research training group (RTG2344, DFG) and profit of their structured training curriculum. At University Freiburg.

Starting on: 01.09.2023
Application deadline: 30.06.2023

PhD position (m/f/d) in macromolecular chemistry

The Laboratory for Organic and Macromolecular Chemistry (research group of Prof. Dr. U. S. Schubert) at the FSU Jena seeks to fill the position of a PhD position in macromolecular chemistry. The position is within the TRR 234 CataLight in project B2. In project B2, new redox-active polymers are being developed that are able to store charges generated by photosensitizers. The stored charges are to be used for the catalytic reaction.

Starting on: As soon as possible
Application deadline: 30.06.2023
