ICMR and DFG announce Call for Proposals in Toxicology

(10.06.22) Are you a researcher in the field of toxicology? Would you like to start or upgrade an Indo-German research collaboration in your field – either as a researcher in Germany co-operating with a colleague in India, or as a researcher in India co-operating with a colleague in Germany? If so, our new Call for Proposals may be of interest to you.

DFG and the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) are happy to announce a new funding initiative, with this year’s pilot call targeting projects in toxicology. Projects to be funded in this initiative will have an Indian and a German part, run for up to three years and can include funding items from staff (doctoral or post-doctoral researchers), consumables, small devices, workshops, travel or other needed items.

“This is the first joint ICMR-DFG funding activity since the signing of the MoU late last year”, DFG India Office Director Matthias Kiesselbach explains. “We’re hoping for many great project ideas in this field as there is a solid synergy potential between India and Germany in the field of toxicology. These Indo-German collaboration projects may bring new approaches into the research scene in both countries.”
