The DFG Head Office pursues a family-conscious human resources policy and works continuously to achieve a sustainable work-life balance for its employees. Since 2001, the DFG has been certified under audit berufundfamilie®, an initiative pursued by the non-profit Hertie Foundation to support the compatibility of career and family. We are pleased to be able to offer our employees the following benefits and measures in this connection:

  • Flexible working hours with no core times: boundary hours from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., overtime can be flexibly reduced by means of time off or flexitime days
  • Extensive range of part-time models and options
  • Mobile work
    Mobile work up to three days per week for all employees – providing the work assignment allows it. Colleagues come in to the Head Office to meet in person on at least two days per week.
  • Counselling for pregnant women and fathers-to-be
  • Places at the day-care centre Rheinaupänz run by the Johanniter Hospital Bonn for children aged from four months to compulsory school age
  • Cooperation with the company pme Familienservice, which specialises in arranging childcare and also counselling in matters relating to care of the elderly.
