(28.05.21) Just like most international conferences, the 8th European Congress of Mathematics (8ECM) encountered heavy restrictions in the year of 2020. The ECM, which is only held every four years, could not take place in Portorož, Slovenia last year and therefore had to be postponed to the summer of 2021.
Now, after careful consideration and a year of learning about the possibilities of online conferencing, the organisers decided to move this year’s congress online. From June 20 to 26, international researchers can finally get together and follow an extensive programme of lectures, visit a virtual exhibition and get together with mathematicians from around the world.
On the "Research in Germany" Exhibitor Page , visitors can gain an overview of the German research landscape and learn more about PhD, research, funding and collaboration opportunities in Germany in the field of mathematics.
A live online webinar will provide international researchers with insights into different funding opportunities and possible career paths in the field of mathematics in Germany. Participants can get in touch with experts representing the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (AvH) and the German Research Foundation (DFG).
“Research in Germany” also offers exclusive Q&A Sessions, where participants get the chance to ask their questions about funding opportunities within the German research landscape:
We are looking forward to meeting you online!
