(27.09.13) The beginning of September saw the publication of the annual special supplement to the bilingual newspaper Moskauer Deutsche Zeitung (MDZ, Moscow German News) focusing on German-Russian cooperation in the field of science and education. The sixth in this series of special editions offers German science and research funding organisations based in Moscow the opportunity to showcase current and future projects. In addition to the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation), the Helmholtz Association, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the supplement also features the German House for Research and Innovation (DWIH Moscow).
The publication examines current debate on the reformation of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Russian university system. The DFG reports on its activities in the past Germany Year in Russia and highlights the workshop held in Moscow in February 2013 on clusters of excellence and Collaborative Research Centres, which was attended by Russian participants. The current brochures, as well as previous years' special editions, can be downloaded from our website.
