Annual Report 2011
Activities and Results - Programmes and Projects
The annual report by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation) provides a comprehensive 300-page overview of the organisation’s news and funding activities. In particular, in the section entitled “Research Funding – Facts & Figures”, Germany’s central, self-governing research funding organisation showcases the past year’s developments in research funding.
The annual report, which was presented to interested members of the public at the annual press conference on 5 July, clearly shows that the smooth running of self-governance in German science is due to the involvement of a great many people. These include, for example, those who serve as reviewers, committee members, and Head Office staff.
