Positions in DFG-Funded Projects
The following scientific positions from DFG-funded projects are currently open:
7 DFG-funded positions and 6 affiliated fellowships for doctoral researchers and 1 full DFG-funded position and 3 affiliated fellowships for post-doctural researchers
We are looking for researchers with expertise either in Sinology/Chinese Studies, Japanese Studies, Korean Studies and/or further disciplines with a strong focus on East Asia, such as Social Sciences (Political Science, Economics, Sociology), History, Religious Studies, Linguistics, Literary Studies for our DFG funded Research Training Group GRK 2833 “East Asian Futures“ (EAF). Positions are funded from October 2023 for four years (doctoral researchers) and five years (post-doctoral researcher). The doctoral studies will be conducted at the Faculty of East Asian Studies at the Ruhr University Bochum (RUB) and the Institute of East Asian Studies at the University of Duisburg-Essen (UDE), in Germany.

The DFG-funded Research Unit “Lifespan AI – From Longitudinal Data to Lifespan Inference in Health”, jointly hosted by the University of Bremen and the Leibniz Institute for Prevention Research and Epidemiology – BIPS in Bremen, invites applications for PhD positions and researcher positions to be filled as soon as possible. With its main focus on methods of artificial intelligence (AI) and tools that model, predict and explain the development of diseases over the life course, Lifespan AI will use high-dimensional, life-spanning data that will be assembled from longitudinal epidemiological studies and supplemented with biological, social, and lifestyle information. 12 research associate positions (f/m/d), (TV-L E 13, 75%)
The research program conceptualizes collective decision-making as a complex and interactive process involving individual preferences, epistemic and normative beliefs, as well as decision-making procedures and institutions. Research associates have to complete the doctoral qualification program and to write a doctoral dissertation in Economics, Philosophy or Political Science on a topic related to the research program of the graduate program. Presence in Hamburg is required (except for research related absences).
