Information about the funding programme "Infrastructure for Electronic Publications and Digital Scholarly Communication"
The aim of the programme "Infrastructure for Electronic Publications and Digital Scholarly Communication" is to present research results on an open access basis in such a way that they are easily accessible and as widely usable as possible. Funding is available for projects in which infrastructures are developed and established for the production, distribution or convenient use of open-access publications. The term 'publication' also includes means of presenting research results in which text is enriched and contextualised by means of audiovisual material, research data, social media components etc.
Funding is offered initially for projects intended to produce specific communication for a particular field. Projects spanning more than one subject can be funded if the developed infrastructures can be used in different contexts or if solutions are designed in pilot projects that can also be utilised elsewhere for the production, distribution or use of open access content. Ultimately, the available funding is intended for projects with a strong experimental focus, in which innovative concepts for the introduction, design and implementation of open access are developed and tested.
