(29.05.12) The President of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), Professor Matthias Kleiner and the Ambassador of Ecuador in Germany, Eng. Jorge Jurado Mosquera, representing the Nacional Secretary of the Secretaría Nacional de Educación Superior, Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación of the Republic of Ecuador, SENESCYT, Economist René Ramírez Gallegos, have undersigned their first framework agreement for scientific cooperation between Ecuador and Germany on May 23rd, 2012.
After many, already very successful years of scientific cooperation between both countries, especially in the area of biodiversity, the signing of this agreement is also consolidating the institutional cooperation between DFG and its partner organization SENESCYT.
DFG and SENESCYT expect that the scientific cooperation supported by this agreement will soon lead to a further intensification and an extension of areas in this cooperation among the scientists of both countries.
