Diversity in Science and Academia

Excellence in science requires diversity and originality. To help sustain the dialogue within society on socially relevant topics, such topics must be appropriately represented in science. This occurs not only in an abstract manner through the subject classification system in science, but also through the people who perform research and teach in these subject areas. The DFG considers it a matter of course that no one may be excluded from a career in science or academia due to reasons not related to science, such as gender, ethnic background, age or state of health.

Researchers with Disabilities
All DFG funding programmes are open to scientists and academics with disabilities.
