The DFG provides funding for international scientific events in Germany, for bilateral events held in Germany or abroad, for conference and lecture trips abroad, and for young German researchers who are employed abroad to participate in scientific events in Germany.
International scientific events
The DFG provides funding for the organisation of scientific events in Germany and, under certain circumstances, in other European countries.
Bilateral Events
Funding for bilateral events is provided to facilitate cooperation between scientists and academics with the aim of developing scientific contacts. In this category, funds may be approved either in the context of general cooperation agreements or in connection with individual agreements between international partners in relation to specific events.
