DFG Website Gets New Look and Technical Upgrade
New design and better user experience on www.dfg.de / Focus on accessibility and mobile device compatibility
The Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation) has optimised its website. New navigation features now make it easier for users to find content quickly, especially information on research funding. The site is also now more accessible for users with different needs and offers better compatibility with mobile devices. The new layout is designed to respond to modern usage habits.
In particular, the DFG has focussed on redesigning the information provided on research funding, making this content easier to find with fewer navigation steps. The internal search function is more powerful than before and the site has been improved with search engine optimisation (SEO). The topic-based structure with the headings ‘Research Funding’, ‘Funded Projects’, ‘DFG in Profile’ and ‘Magazine’ (in the German version), as well as the links to the various pages, will remain the same – partly in response to the results of a detailed survey.
