Permanent Senate Commission on Oceanography
The Senate Commission on Oceanography plans and coordinates the activities of the DFG in the field of marine research and discusses the relevant Priority Programmes and Collaborative Research Centres. In particular, the commission advises on aspects relating to the research ship "Meteor" and the planning and execution of its expeditions. In addition, the commission serves as the German representation on the Scientific Committee on Oceanic Research (SCOR) of the International Council of Scientific Unions (ICSU).
