DFG-NSF Research Conference 2009

This year’s DFG-NSF Research Conference, running from 14 to 17 October in New York, is focused on the topic "Sustainable Use of Nanomaterials for Novel Engineering Solutions". It is the fifth in a series of research conferences jointly supported by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) and the National Science Foundation (NSF) that aim to strengthen the research ties between the US and Germany.

With its workshop-like mode of practice, the DFG-NSF Research Conference is intended to be the starting point for joint research activities between German and US researchers from academia, industry and national laboratories. The conference holds a strong cross-disciplinary approach in major fields such as nanomaterials and production engineering in research and development.

The conference takes place from 14 to 17 October 2009 in the German House, 871 UN Plaza, New York City, USA.
