Since mid-April, Dr. Christina Siebe from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) has been working as a DFG liaison scientist in Mexico. Dr. Siebe is a research assistant at the UNAM’s Geological Institute, and her duties include providing advice and assistance to local researchers interested in collaborating with German partners. She also maintains contact with local DFG partner organisations and coordinates scientific events. Through these activities, Dr. Siebe contributes to raising Mexico’s awareness of Germany as a centre for research. The research assistant at UNAM’s Geological Institute is thoroughly familiar with both the Mexican and German scientific systems.
