Funding of German-Argentine Projects with CONICET

(30.06.14) Within the framework of the existing agreement between the National Council for Scientific and Technological Research (CONICET) and the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation), CONICET has announced the funding of joint German-Argentine research projects for the year 2015 in all research areas.

Proposals will be accepted for collaborative research projects up to three years. Researchers must comply with the funding and eligibility requirements as stipulated by their respective funding organisation.

Argentine researchers shall submit their proposals to CONICET by 30 September 2014, the same deadline applies to the German researchers. German partners shall submit their proposals within the DFG’s Research Grants Programme in compliance with the guidelines outlined in DFG form 50.01. This includes the “Kooperationspflicht” within Germany for members of non-university institutions with permanent positions.

At DFG, proposals have to be submitted via the electronic proposal processing system (ELAN). After the log-in, please use the respective link “Proposal for a Research Grant” in the Proposal Forms column. Please select CONICET-DFG-2014 as the relevant call.

Funding of the joint research projects is contingent upon positive assessment by both funding organisations. Projects will be co-funded; unilateral funding of only one part of the project is not possible. The DFG does not provide special funds for this initiative.
