Book Donation - Promotion of Indo-German Cooperation
In conjunction with the initiative for the promotion of Indo-German Cooperation, DFG has, on specific request from institutions of higher learning, been donating scientific and technical books to universities and research institutions.
On 5th February 2010 DFG presented a collection of 65 books to the Central University of Hyderabad. In a simple ceromony Professor Dr. Prakash C. Sarangi, Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Director of International Affairs of the University of Hyderabad received the books from Dr. Torsten Fischer, Director, DFG India Office. On the occasion Mr. C.P. Mohan Kumar, Registrar, Professor Dr. M. Ramanadham, Dean, School of Life Sciences and Dr. M. Koteswara Rao, Librarian, of the University of Hyderabad were also present.
The donated books are mainly from the areas of Physics, Material Sciences, Life Sciences as well as History and Literature.
